Laurent and Dominique COURBIS are running the family domaine the origins of which go back to the 16th century.
32 hectares of terrassed vineyard belong to the domaine, most of which on spectacularely steep and south/south-east facing, situaed around the villages of Glun, Châteaubourg and Cornas:
- 7 ha of "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée" Cornas
- 6 ha of "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée" Saint-Joseph blanc
- 18 ha of "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée" Saint-Joseph rouge
- 1 ha of Vin de pays de l'Ardèche
The annual production averages a but 900 hl (hectolitres), which is the equivalent of 120.000 bottles.
The average yield is of 35 hl (hectolitres) per hectare.
The grapes are hand picked and brought to the cellar, where they are fermented, after an uncompromising selection. The winemaking remain quitre traditional, it's techniques passed on from generation to generation, lending the wines of the domaine their specific, well received style.
